| Dr. Su-Chu Hsu 許素朱 (小牛) is the Director of the Center for Art and Technology at Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA), where she is on the faculty. She created and built the Graduate School of Art and Technology and was the first chair. She is known for her work in net art, digital art, digital creative life and learning. She is a leading proponent for the integration of art and technology in Taiwan. Ju-Chun Ko 葛如鈞 (大寶) is a Ph.D. student in Graduate Institute of Networking and multimedia, National Taiwan University (NTU). His current research interests include net art, interactive art and smart clothing and multimedia feedback system. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| "Wiki" is the new spirit of web sites. It provides a common platform for creating web content. Wikis have been used for many applications: education, commerce, encyclopedias, manuals... Wikis have not been used widely to create art. Now some groups are using wikis to create collective art. We call art-making on a wiki “Wikiart”.
Paradigm shift was created by Thomas Kuhn in 1962. The idea of paradigm shift has been applied widely. Paradigm shifts also happen in art. Previous ideas and phenomena in art are changing because of the development of digital technology. "Authorship shift" is one example. In net art, especially wikiart, “authorship” needs to be re-discussed and re-defined. Digital art works are not necessarily fixed in their type and content. Their content and type may change like fluid. We call this changeability “liquidity”. In digital art, net art has the most liquidity. In net art, wikiart has the most liquidity. We predict wikiart will grow in popularity in digital art, because Wikis are easy to operate and are maintained by participants. Wikis are a collective platform with infinite surprise and creativity.
