Sylvain is a both free software enthusiast and a music addict. He was born in a family of musicians and plays several instruments. He founded jamendo in May 2004 and since then he has managed to grow the platform to 4000 albums, 7 official languages and 10 employees. He is currently CTO for jamendo.
Abstract
Free music is growing exponentially and we need to figure out how to distribute it, promote it, and maybe allow some artists to make a living off it. I will present how we try to do that at www.jamendo.com and debate these ideas with the audience"
